Reach Higher, an initiative launched by former First Lady, Michelle Obama in 2014, supports school counselors who can help more kids get into college. It is designed to inspire a college-going culture, ultimately leading to an increase in postsecondary access and success for our nation's students. With a focus on first-generation and low income youth the initiative is centered around activating support systems to help students gain access to the tools and opportunities they need to Reach Higher and obtain a postsecondary degree whether at a traditional four-year college, a two-year community college or through an industry-recognized training program.
